In its first six days of distribution, "Shogun" recorded an astounding 9 million views worldwide (note: the number of views is calculated by dividing the total stream time by the total length of the first and second episodes), making it the No. 1 scripted general entertainment series of all time on this distribution platform.

The film, produced by FX Productions, recorded a 100% fresh review rating on the movie review site Rotten Tomatoes right after its distribution, and is still maintaining a very high 99% rating (as of March 6), and has already begun to become a social phenomenon overseas in its second week of distribution.
